I was driving around Liberty City when I heard Deadmau5′ remix of One + One’s “No Pressure” coming through my speakers. “I KNOW this track…I’ve PLAYED this track!” Sure enough, Wikipedia told me not only was I hearing Deadmau5, but a mix by Wave Music’s Francois K for the game’s Electro-Choc radio station.
Here’s the tracklist:
- Padded Cell – “Signal Failure”
- Black Devil Disco Club – “The Devil in Us (Dub)”
- One + One – “No Pressure (Deadmau5 Remix)”
- Alex Gopher – “Brain Leech (Bugged mind remix)”
- K.I.M. – “B.T.T.T.T.R.Y. (Bag Raiders Remix)”
- Simian Mobile Disco – “Tits and Acid”
- Nitzer Ebb – “Let Your Body Learn”
- Kavinsky – “Testarossa (Sebastian Remix)”
- Chris Lake vs. Deadmau5 – “I Thought Inside Out (Original Mix)”
- Boys Noize – “& Down”
- Justice – “Waters of Nazareth“
- Killing Joke – “Turn to Red”
- Playgroup – “Make it Happen”
- Liquid Liquid – “Optimo”
It’s great to see electronic music gaining a wider audience. Furthermore, it places these artists on the same footing as R. Kelly, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Elton John, R.E.M. the Smashing Pumpkins, Aphex Twin, Ghostface Killah, Nas, and Mobb Deep receive.

i agree CT….
great to see how EDM in general is gaining ‘mainstream’ type status…. heard a musak version of some early soul, and thought that some of our elders probably feel the same way about their favorite genres… hmm….
